17 Jul 2020 11:37The emergence of the coronavirus or COVID -19 has brought new risks in everyday life, so our behavior should be changed. Due to these reasons, many of the planned activities, including the entertainment part and the music events will be postponed for next year.
The events such as trail running, bike tour, and hiking tours that are planned to be held will be realized according to the rules prescribed by the Government of the Republic of Macedonia and the International Mountaineering Associations UIAA and the ITRA Mountain Running Association.
The protocols for the Pelister Ultra-Trail mountain race will also be published on the official website. https://www.pelisterultratrail.com/mk/
Due to all these reasons and due to easier control of the situation, the organizer needs all participants to apply for participation by filling out an application and accepting the conditions that will be listed. Anyone who will not fill the application form will be removed by the guide from the tour.
UIAA RECOMMENDATIONS FOR MOUNTAIN SPORTS
(due to the similarity of the organization and the activities with the bike, the same protocols recommended by the UIAA and FPSM will be taken into account)
· Protective equipment at the start: protective masks, hand sanitizer, antibacterial wipes.
· Carry a mask or scarf to protect your nose and mouth and a disinfectant in your backpack.
· Participants should be divided into groups of 20-25 mountaineers or cyclists with a guide provided in each group. The distance between the groups should be about 50 m or 3 min walk. The groups should have different resting places at a distance of at least 10m.
· Keep a distance of at least 2 meters from each other.
· Use mouth and nose protection if you are unable to maintain the recommended distance.
· Avoid the usual ways of greeting: handling, hugging, using the same water bottle, etc.
· Use the type of transport recommended by the authorized persons and use protective equipment if you can not maintain the recommended distance from each other.
· Use your own transport. When using public or group transport, follow the instructions prescribed by the Ministry of Health.
· Use only your own equipment. Group equipment should be cleaned before use according to the manufacturers' recommendations.
· Recreate, but only if you are completely healthy. Be responsible and stay home if you cough, sneeze, runny nose, feel weak, thus preventing the potential spread of disease.
· Prepare well for the activity. Wear equipment that you know how to use. Choose a goal that is within your physical and mental capabilities.
· If you are at the scene of an accident, help the injured to the best of their knowledge and use mouth and nose protection.
Take the recommendations seriously and act responsibly.
You are responsible for your own health, the health of your family members, and the health of your friends.
The mountains are here and they stay here. To be able to enjoy them, we need to be healthy!
